We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and new year. We had so much fun spending Christmas back in the UK surrounded by family. To be able to finally introduce Anna to everyone was really precious. We joked that we would go a whole day without seeing Anna as she was passed around family members. For Jonah and Caleb to be able to spend time with their cousins was also wonderful to see. Sean's brother and wife had their second child while we were in the UK so being able to meet him was special. One of the hardest things about doing ministry and living so far away is missing out on those family events so we felt very blessed to be able to meet our newest nephew, introduce Anna to everyone and for the boys to get lots of time with their cousins.
There were many highlights from our time back including the snow, being able to take the children to Disneyland Paris and despite the results watching the World Cup and going to watch West Ham... We are well rested and ready to get back to it! The boys are eager to get back to school and see their friends. Despite taking some heavy blows during 2022 Sean is feeling ready to get back into the ring and go for another round. As we head into this new year we are reminded of James 1:2-4: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
When we look back at 2022 we are reminded of what God has done through Naomi's Village and it is a privilege to be a part of that. From child sponsorship to building new classrooms at Cornerstone Preparatory Academy, we are so thankful for your support. Here is a short video (3 minutes) from Bob and Julie Mendonsa the founders of Naomi's Village reflecting back on 2022 and looking forward to 2023 - https://youtu.be/ORPYGjh4Ffs
